I saw lots of people playing games on these new bacbooks, but none of them would post a screenshot with FPS so we would get a basic idea about how the games perform.
All I saw was "C&C3 has perfect performance" - what is that really? What resolution? What details? Right?
Is that so much to ask for somebody to post a screenshot with FPS and describe their details and resolution, Windows version, and MBP config??
I'm sorry for my 2nd thread askin the same thing, but please, post some screenshots with fps, or better yet, just write down the FPS you had on the following games: Oblivion, FEAR, HL2 EP1, ,Stalker, C&C3, NFS Carbon, whatever else you have played on MBP
Please!
edit: and please don't link me to any 3dmark benchmarks thread, let's just put some screenshots on!
I don't think I've seen a single FEAR screenshot on this entire forum!

Well, hold your horses, pardner. I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow on my new 15" MacBook Pro. Downloading BootCamp as I type, and have a fresh XP Home disk to use tomorrow for my Windows install. I'll test out F.E.A.R. and a few other games if all goes well.

That would be awesome! Cheers partner!

I am playing Company of Heroes on mine, at 1280x960 (I think that's it). Everything maxed out but no AA and no Post Processing. It looks really good and in the benchmark I average 30fps. So its perfect for me right now. And thats on the 128 meg 8600 card. I didn't want a gaming laptop, if I did I would have gone with a dedicated PC laptop. But this is a great compromise.

Oops ... I might have spoken a bit too soon. All went well with the bootcamp/XP install ... but when I went to get my F.E.A.R. disk, it wasn't in the box --- gotta do a little searching.
(I did get 3754 in 3DMark 06  ) -
Get FEAR combat, its free. 2GB download though

That's cool FPS for the 128mb version.
Please keep them coming! -
Well I have the 2.33 Ghz 15" and just got the new 2.4 Ghz 15" today. Downloading Boot Camp 1.3 as I type also. I will be hopefully posting Oblivion frame rates at identical resolutions between the two laptops at identical locations in Oblivion.

rob_ART posted some new numbers on the insidemacgames forum. First, he repeated the OS X Doom3 and Quake4 tests in "high" and "ultra" quality, which finally brought the 128MB model to its knees:

He also repeated some of his 3DMark06 tests, and (which is of interest to us) came up with his first real in-game numbers in XP with Prey:

From what I gather from the rest of the thread, he was probably using the stock BootCamp 1.3 drivers. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
i actually posted some screenshots of FEAR on the 256vram mbp.
ill hunt down the link. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook

Okie Dokie. Found my F.E.A.R. disk. Installed it, updated with 1.08 patch, and ran the demo for benchmark data. This was done at 1440x900, with effects and performance set at "High", as determined by the auto settings detector. It looked good ... I am definitely liking the 8600 GT video card!
