Bought a beat a1278 for a great deal as the wireless did not work.
Opened up the unit and found... somehow... the connector is sheared off the cable end and still plugged onto the motherboard!
Either someone was inside this thing or they dropped it HARD. All four corners do show scuffing but luckily nothing else is damaged.
I'm sure I can swap the part (or maybe just that cable?) out but I have no idea what I'm looking for!
Hours on ebay and youtube haven't helped. Everyone's laptop with the same model seems to look different inside :/
This is the i5 2.3GHz.

This is the 13" though, and knowing Apple every part is different! haha
But, thanks to your post, I found this: http://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/Mac...11-Mid-2012-Airport-Bluetooth-Cable/IF163-038
Now to find it for less than $30! 0_0

Please help identify what part I need for my Macbook Pro a1278! Wireless/ethernet board?
