    Ok my iphone 3g wont turen off or on. I was loading music into it and it said error operation failed on the comp screen and now it just has the apple logo witht the spinning loading circle at the button its been like this for an hour and nothing with happen how can I fix this?????????????? :confused: :confused: :confused: :mad: :mad: :mad: :confused: :confused: :mad: :mad: I even tried plugging it back in to the computer with itunes and removing the sim card nothing works

    Search around for putting it in DFU mode and dong a restore. If that doesn't work I would head back to the store where you bought it.

    But the DFU mode and a restore should do the trick.

    Do a restore as newfiejudd suggested (there's Force Restore, see if you can trigger it). If not, take it back to the store!

    ok i figured out if u hold the sleep wake and home for 10 seconds it restarts phew Im doing a restore as we speek

    That actually happened to me once too when I was boarding on a plane... I was so frustrated at the time since I didn't know how to restart or turn off the iphone and the flight attendant just asked for all electronics to be turned off :(
    Luckily the guy sitting next to me showed me and I was so relieved :D
