Using Disk Utility or another program, is it possible to merge 2 partitions on my external HD without losing data? I have one partition FAT32 for swapping files and one is my Macbook backed up with Superduper. I don't mind losing the data on my Mac partition but I need the data on the FAT32 partition.

You can delete the Mac partition and then expand the Fat32 partition over the empty new unpartitioned area without loseing data on the fat32. I dont think there is a way without losing data on one partition. Atleast I dont know of one.

So I CAN make them one partition and keep all the data on my Windows (FAT32) partition?

Yes you can. You need to first delete the Mac partition and then expand the Fat32 partition. This will not delete anything on the Fat32 but just make it bigger.

GParted or Paragon can do it on a PC. Not really sure about Mac programs sorry.

Good to know that it's possible. Does anyone know any software for Mac that'll do this?
