Powerbook 12inch Battery Exchange

Hi, last week i filled out the form on this page :

to request a new battery exchange. Right after i filled out the form they sent me an email with an order number. I am just wondering how to check the status of my order?? Has anyone ever try the battery exchange program? How long does it usually take for the new battery to arrive?

I got mine about four days later for my mbp ... but that was almost a yr ago .... ymmv ... apple is a lot more popular now and sell a crap load more systems...

 

i am assuming that you are from the states?
i forgot to mention that i am from Canada. Thats very nice though, 4 days, thats real efficient. I hope I get mine soon, my battery only lasts about 30 min nowadays .

 

Ya actually my battery went bad again, and this time i went to the apple store, and they gave me a replacement on the spot.

It was very good service.

 

The website says 7-9 business days. However, it also says shipping time may vary depending on availability, and well, these are not in production now so I would say it could potentially take longer.

Hope for the best though

Yes. If you quote them a reference number, they should be able to track it - did you get one?

nice, i called and they told me that the est. delivery date is this friday.
apparently they just shipped yesterday. I can't believe it, a free battery after all these years.

 

Free? Apple's shipping you a replacement battery for free? That's awesome! Especially after all those years, like you said.

 

yah cuz it is one of those sony made batteries that would blow up or something, but i been using it since 2005 april and there is nothing wrong with it.
I was so close to order one from my campus computer store hahahah.

 

I wonder if they sent a bunch out on the same day? I got my conformation email on the the 2nd of September. They said 7-9 business days. That would have been today till friday. Come on friday!

 

dhl came by this morning but i was @ school
they will deliver again tmr

 

Whats DHL? I'm in Vancouver,BC. Where you at that you got it that fast?

Ya sorry about that. Brain fart. No I run a small home based PC/Mac repair business so I can take care of my 2 little girls while my wife works. I like to mainly focus on laptops/Macbooks. So DHL is the main delivery company for Apple Canada? Does anyone know? I'm going to give them a call. All and all, how long did it take from the confirmation email to delivery? Asking many questions because I live in a questionable neighbourhood in Burnaby.

 

i filled out the form last thursday and received the order number right after that
then i called apple on monday, they told me the ESD is this friday. but this afternoon there is a DHL card sticked on my mailbox,I assume that it is the battery.

 

Ok. Next question. What number did you call? Thanx for all the help. This has to be the fastest forum I have ever seen!

 

Well they never even placed my order. When I was filling out the stuff online someone else was placing an order for a new MacBook Pro. Our orders collided and he got my order number and got nothing. Too bad they didn't mix up the addresses. I called Saturday and talked to a guy who had no clue what to do. Today I called and this nice older lady hooked it all up right in 15min. The new time of arrival is 3-5 days. Way better than waiting another 7-9 day. I feel a little better now. We'll see if it comes this time.

 

thats too bad, i am sorry to hear that u are having problems with your order. hope everything works out just fine for u. I got my battery on thursday and its great, 3 1/2 hrs battery life baby. I have yet to send my old battery back, i am suppose to call ups and ask them to pick it up
