When do you think apple will release leopard. At the latest during the June Apple event, however do you think it is likely that apple will release it before then?

I highly doubt it. People who have actually seen Leopard and know what they are talking about, say it is still nowhere near done. ThinkSecret says early March, but they have not hit any rumors recently and I don't really consider them credible anymore. I think WWDC is it.

I think Apple also tends to finish releasing major updates to it's previous OS (in this case Tiger) before it ships the next one. This has been true for all OS X versions for example Tiger was released a week after the final 10.3.9 Panther and Panther itself was launched three weeks after 10.2.8. We'll have to wait for 10.4.9 to ship before really worrying about when Leopard ships. Apple seemed to have been releasing 10.4.9 builds every week a month ago and they seem to have gone quiet so either they've discovered a problem or they are just trying biding their time for a good release opportunity. This time I don't think Leopard's release will be within a few weeks of 10.4.9 like Tiger and Panther, but we're probably looking a month or 2, more like the separation between the final Cheetah release then Puma or the final Puma build then Jaguar.
