thats a massive increase on the cheaper models.
-
Especially the iMac. That's a 60% increase.
-
They did this to an extent in the U.S. The Mac Mini in particular got a price increase on the base model, and the education discounts are now lower. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out for them. Apple may be letting their increased popularity go to their heads. I don't really see any cost effectiveness in the Mac Mini or even the iMac anymore, which will set you back $1800 just to get a mid-range dedicated graphics card.

Well we've got the maths, now we need outrage ~rawr~
As a serious question, are the "upgrades" profound enough to produce that kind of increase? -
I would say no. The base Mini still comes with 1GB of RAM (1GB? Seriously?). The iMac has got some decent processors and you can get a 24" cheaper than before, but like I said, you've got to lay down $1800 just to get a mid range graphics card.

definitely not. its a premium product, but i'm starting to become a little leery of apple's price gouging. -
The only thing in the US that got a price raise was the Mac Mini, iMac and Mac Pro prices dropped.
-
The Mac Mini prices stayed the same, and the iMac and Mac Pro prices dropped a bit..
-
well seriously the economy down? why are they raising the price up?
-
Hardly gonna shake the image, is it lol?
Joking, of course, but I just remembered something funny. -
Foreign dollar is worth less. That's why.
