A few days ago I started having problems with Bluetooth.

The problem manifests itself when I leave the MacBook Pro (17 inch Penryn) for a while and come back. The cursor is gone from the screen and using the Bluetooth mouse does nothing.

The trackpad also isn't responsive. The keyboard works and the system works in general but not having a mouse is a real problem. I tested this with two Bluetooth mice and both exhibited this problem. Switching to a USB wireless mouse fixed the problem.

I did install a Mac OSX security update recently.

I'm running on the Windows partition this evening because I need to run a Windows application. I think that I'll leave the system on overnight to see if there are any problems with the Bluetooth mouse. If not, then I suspect that something in the last security update has a bug in it.

Anyone else seen something like this?
