I've just received the remote control I ordered via eBay from a US seller and immediately tried it out. However, it doesn't seem to be working.
First thing I did was trying to pair it by holding the menu and forward button for 5 seconds, multiple times. The problem is, it doesn't seem to get paired.
What could be the problem for this? Google isn't my friend today.

Maybe the battery is dead?
Here's how to replace it:

It seems like it, but it was supposed to be new and also packed in plastic with barcode + price tag....
Anyhow, I tried to see whether it sends IF with the cam of my cell phone, but it didn't. Gonna replace the battery tomorrow, but still it remains strange to me. -
It's probably just old so the battier died.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Secret on Ebay listings - New in plastic means it hasn't been previously opened or used since manufacture.... doesn't mean it was recently made and just arrived from the factory last week/month
.

Apparently... anyhow I guess Im just unlucky since all the other purchasers have no complaints.

That happened to me but the remote only cost me $5.

Just tried a new battery and it now works perfectly. Thanks for the support!
