So about one week ago.I updated my MacBook's memory to 4GB.
My MacBook was purchased January 2008.

    Here is what i purchased.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145172

Ever since i have replaced my two 512 sticks with those two 2 Gb sticks, safari has been acting weird on me.

    It ALWAYS quits periodically
on me.Then i press the report button but it will still continue to occur.

When i click "About this Mac" on my computer it reads "4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM"

So i believe its installed and working correctly, right?

My assumption is this change in memory keeps causing this problem, but i honestly do not know...

So can Sam or any of you other Mac experts help me out and give me advice because this is getting really irritating. Thanks yall.

Woah woah... thats enough exclamation marks.

Download an ISO image of Memtest86+, burn it to CD as an ISO, and boot from the CD in order to run burn-in tests of the new RAM modules.

You should test your RAM as you could have gotten a stick with a defective RAM chip on it. I think that there is an "Apple Hardware Test" on one of the DVDs that comes with the computer. Maybe other Apple users can shed some more light on RAM testing on a Mac.

    Sorry for the exclamation points.

Bog, can you expand a bit more on what i should look for out of the tests?
Also, i do not see 86+ on there.

Second, the only disk i have are the install discs that came with the computer.

    Hopefully others can chime in.
    Thanks.

This link will take you directly to the file you want to download. Extract the ISO from the Zip file before burning it as an ISO.
