Is it possible to write programs for windows in Visual Basic using Parallels? Or should I run BootCamp for that? Or is it possible to write in Visual Basic on OS X? If it is possible I wont even need to run windows. I would rather not have to run windows.

Last semester I used bootcamp to program in visual studio and I saw another use parallels to program in visual studio also. I believe as long as you can install .net and VB, you will be ok. Next semester I will be using parallels and VB. It wont be a problem.

Thats exactly what i wanted to hear. I think I may get parallels instead of bootcamp. So i dont have to bother with restarting to get into Windows. I wont need bootcamp to play games because i dont play any PC games except for WoW, and that is OS X compatible. Gaming is what my Xbox360 is for. ;)

Visual Studio will run fine. It will run even better if you have Parallels 3.

If you definately won't use Boot Camp, then using Windows in only Parallels is fine. Otherwise you might want to use Boot Camp and then use Parallels to access the Boot Camp partition.

The advantage of this is that you can use Boot Camp if you really need to at any time and also, if something bad happens to Parallels in the future, you can switch to another program like VMware.

A disadvantage is that it takes up more HD space, as Parallels has an "expanding" HD that gets bigger as you put more things in it. So if you don't install much, it'll stay nice and small. :)
