    Hello

I'm seriously considering purchasing a 15" MBP in the very new future and am wondering about case options.

The Speck See-through hard cases look nice for keeping the aluminum on the outside of the case protected from scratches, dings, and dents. I'm thinking of getting one of these.

The Marware Protection for the wrist rest area looks like it might be worth it to protect that area from pitting and scratching over time.

The Apple store has the Brenthaven Fusion Messenger Bag that comes with a neoprene sleeve and the messenger bag. It looks like a nice bag that's not too expensive. Would the MPB + Speck case fit into the sleeve, though?

I've seen silicon keyboard protectors and might be interested in one but am worried it might really take away from the keyboard's feel.

Anyway, I was wondering if these choices seem worthwhile to protect the new MBP - or if it's overkill. Your feedback would be helpful :)

    Thanks!
    Nikolaus

From what I've heard the speck product is pretty good.

Instead of the marware (i heard it had bubbling issues) look into the moshi palmguard. I've heard much better reviews about it.

As for the keyboard protection, I don't have personal experience but most people say the iSkin protouch is pretty good. I think personally I might pick up the Macessity keyboard shield (it's cheaper and thinner)

Along these same lines, anyone have any recommendations for a laptop sleeve?

I can only recommend this one: iSaver Shell

I never liked the idea of special bags, I just wanted something small that protects my notebook well! There was nothing that came close until this. All those neoprene sleeves are crap! If you hit a corner the zipper is so hard it'll dent the Aluminum case. The iSaver Shell is very form-stable medium hardcase on the outside and very well cushioned on the inside. The perfect solution to put into your standard backback or your Booq Powersleeve!

The thing is I don't want to get the brain bag and I've heard that the brain cell doesn't fit very well in some backpacks

Hey Diver Dan, will you post how you like the Brain Bag when you get it? There's a review here of it, but it's 2 years old. I'd like some up-to-date info on it...esp. if you could fit the power cord in the front pockets without buying a snake charmer.
