First, read the 1st post on this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=121301&page=1

Now today I go check the status online, and it says it was canceled!!! So I call them and they have no idea why this was done, as no error code was given! I call my bank and they tell me apple didn't even go through with a transaction, let alone a transaction that gets canceled because of balance or other issues. So I go through with another order with apple and before the transaction goes through, the rep tells me the macbook will be shipped sometime b/w the 8th-10th of May and will arrive between the 11th-15th, completely different dates than the ones I got when I called yesterday. Yesterday, the rep told me it will get shipped by Monday (I thought it's a bit weird that they send their products to be shipped on a weekend) and I'll have it LATEST by Friday.

Now what do I do? They're offering me free expedited shipping but I'm leaving on Friday morning. It's no good for me. And I asked them if because of this error they can ship it faster (I said I don't care about getting free expedited shipping, i just want it expedited NOW!) and they said no.

Not pleased at all with the customer service  . Very friendly reps, but each one is telling me a different thing. Horrible experience. I'm going to think what to do now, and let me know your opinion.

Where are you going to? Perhaps, you could tell Apple to ship it there. Did they explain why the order was canceled?

I'm going to Barbados. I actually thought about that but then on my way back I'd have to bring everything back with me (packaging, CDs, and whatever junk it comes with in case i would want to return it).
Actually because it's a refurbished product, and because they canceled my order, and because they promised me different dates, maybe I can ask them to make an exception for me on the return policy. If they let me return the macbook (if need be, but I doubt it) without its packaging and don't charge me extra, then I might consider doing that.

Well no they don't ship to the Caribbean. I guess that's it. I'll try again to see if they can make an exception with the shipping, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to go for a mac now. Have to wait another month, and by then, I must just go with a lenovo t61. :s
