I was looking on the UK Apple site's refurbished section and I saw the 15 inch Macbook Pro for 31% off retail price. This was a big enough saving to put the notebook within my budget. Has anyone bought from the Apple refurbished store? If so what can you say about the quality of the laptops? Were they as good as new? Any noticable cosmetic damage?

I'm posting from a refurbished 15.4 inch Macbook Pro. I can say without a doubt, it was the best purchase I've ever made. The machine looks brand new and it doesn't have any defects, scratches, or marks. I made sure of that to since I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to cleanliness and aesthetics.

I was lucky that they sent me a Macbook Pro with twice the memory promised and an ATA 100 gig 7200 rpm hardrive for no extra cost.

I'm a first time mac user and I'm still amazed with Mac OS even after weeks of ownership.

Edit: If you'd like, I would be willing to post some pictures for you.
