    Question About MacBook Pro 15 in.

    I am looking at getting the macbook pro with the 256 mb graphics card and the 2.16 ghz core duo processor. does anyone have any problems with heat? i will have it on my desk most of the time.

    also the only reason i was thinking about the macbook pro w/ the 256 mb video card was for games. the only game i play at present time is World of Warcraft. Do you think the 128 mb card would do just fine or go with the 256 mb one?

    128 will be fine for wow. It's not very intensive.
    AS far as heat, you shouldn't see any real difference between the 128 v. 256. Maybe a little bit, but not much. And yeah, the MBP does get hot. I'm not sure how hot anymore, but it used to get near scalding with the old logic boards in them. But being on a desk, that won't be an issue really.
    I'm not really sure whether to suggest getting the 256 meg one... the card is underclocked already, and there aren't any benchmarks to show the differences. I would say go for the 256 meg if you want to do more gaming, but it's already an outdated card anyway....

    Ive got a 256mb 15 incher and heat is not a problem at all.

    You shouldn't have any problems with heat

    WoW should be fine on the x1600, with 128 MB of ram, WOW should be able to run on the GMA 950 so you should have no troubles at all
