I want to buy a Macbook Pro,the ram that Apple sells is $500 for 2 gig.Crucial sells 2 gigs for $238.The thing is I have never used a Mac before,so I don't know how to replace ram for Apples.I have replaced ram for Dell's and such.Is it different to replace ram for Apples then it is for Dells? If I take my ram to an Apple store will they replace it free of charge?Does the new ram void the warranty? Also will the 2 gigs of crucial ram be better than Apple's 2 gigs of ram?

    Thank You

New RAM won't void the warranty, and it is very easy to install. When it comes time come here and we can tell you exactly where it is. The only trick is to keep your old Apple RAM and if you have to send it in for service switch yours with Apple's. Also, be sure to get 667MHz RAM.

I'm not sure what brand Apple does use however when I installed my 2GB into my Macbook it had a Big M with a circle around it, maybe someone else knows that one.

Anyways, Crucial is a great company many Overclockers use Crucials products because its pretty much a Top brand.

I'm not sure where you live, but be sure to look around the internet for deals because you can get some Crucial much cheaper at other places such as Newegg.com if you live in the states, or TigerDirect if you live in Canada, anywhere else I'm not sure.

Well if you're set on Crucial than newegg.com would be an awesome site to check out, and if you decide to order from them try making sure you use FedEX because they require a signature when they deliver, and I'm not sure what area of Maryland you live in, but if you live in a big city and seeing how UPS just leaves it on the doorstep it might not be a good idea. (UPS is default deliverer)

Newegg also has the ram that I have in my signature, which btw is awesome memory, everything on it checks out and runs full speed, so it's fully compatible with the Macbook.

I believe it's the logo of Micron Technology. One of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world.

FYI, Crucial memory uses Micron supplied memory chips.
