So I've decided to take the plunge and switch to a MBP. Now I'm wondering how long will it take before you can buy one in the stores with Leopard installed?

Well, I've heard that if you buy it in Store on October 26th, if the box doesn't already have Leopard, they will throw in a Leopard disc for you.

Yes, I think this is how they sell inventory with Tiger already loaded until new shipments start shipping with Leopard installed. You just get Leopard on a disc and have to install it yourself.

If I remember correctly, and I might not... I went to the Apple store on an OS release night and took advantage of the 10% hardware to buy a new Mac and they just gave you the new OS in a box, but the hardware was already in inventory and had the older OS installed.
