The refresh for the Pro line is comming and I am wondering guys, how likely do you think we will see these updates

    LED LCDs
HD 2600 to replace the X1600?

I think its possible because the HD 2600 is 65nm, runs cooler, and draws less power. Also there was previous rumors that apple was going to introduce LED LCDS this year.

Well, its not a rumour that Apple is going to introduce LED backlit displays this year. They confirmed it in the "A Greener Apple" statement. So yes, Apple WILL introduce LED displays this year. Its confirmed.

There's lots of speculation that the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro will be updated at WWDC with LED displays. As for the graphics card update, no one knows, there haven't been many rumours on that, but of course I'd imagine the new MBPs wouldn't still be using the X1600. Its even possible that Apple will move to NVIDIA graphics. I'd prefer NVIDIA graphics.

Thats good news, I bet LED LCDs are a lock for the refresh MBP. But the HD 2600 seems to be slighty better than Nvidia's 8600 cards, and plus its on a 65mn die vs Nvidia's 80nm dies

Does anyone know if LED screens will actually improve the visual quality of the screen or if its just a method of extending battery life? The current screen on my macbook pro is excellent by my standards...then again, im used to dim Toshiba screens so who knows.

LEDs tend to have cleaner, more even light, which means you won't get much (if any) bleeding. They're also longer-lasting and more power-efficient.
