I am a bit confused about the description on Apple's website--do both the matt and glossy LCD come with LED backlight or only the matt version comes with LED backlight?

    Thanks

They both use the same LED backlighting.

Both 15" versions, matte and glossy have it. But not the 17". By the way...the screen is great, the matte version is really impressive. Its almost a wash between the two...its actually hard to tell the difference between them. You can see some things behind you with the glossy version...though not nearly as bad as most screens ive seen. The matte is about 95% of the glossy in terms of color, crispness, ect. I went with the matte, and I love it.

I'll go with glossy one--I love the mirror look :)
