Hello,
So I recently switched over from pc to macbook pro. I have been playing around and I have to say I love it. There are however a few annoyances I was wondering if you guys could help me with.
1. For the Safari browser, is there a way to incorporate the download window as a bar in the browser itself, kinda of like a plugin for Firefox that I used before? Or can I just incorporate the download window as a tab?
2. For PC, there is always the disk cleanup, that cleans up the unused memory, history, all that other stuff, does mac have it? I can only find the way to clean history.
3. Resizing windows. I like it in Windows OS how I can maximize and the window would maximize to screen. Is there any app that can help me with that?
Thanks Alot

As some other members would tell you: Google it.
But that's not what a forum is for, is it?
1) You cannot incorporate the download window as a tab in Safari (not that I know of anyway).
2) The HFS+ filesystem is very different from NTFS or FAT. You don't need to constantly clean your disk, you don't even need to defragment it. There's no registry that can get clogged up or anything that will slow your OS down.
If you wish to erase your browsing history, cookies, passwords and that kind of deal, you can always click: Safari > Reset Safari...
3) The green button in OS X performs a completely different task than the Maximize button in Windows.
It resizes the current window to whatever the displayed information inside needs. Say you open up a Safari window and type in Google and hit that button, Safari will resize to whatever size the Google website is.
It's a different functionality because OS X is so much about drag-and-drop that when you completely maximize a window, you lose that ability.
There are, however, workarounds and tricks:

Its nice to see I'm not alone in learning things over again. My wife and mother-in-law both got MBs yesterday so I've been learning the differences. Last night's was how to do right click functions on the mouse (they don't use the touch pad). I had wondered about the green button too and now it makes sense.

If they do decide to use the trackpad which I recommend they learn, you can set all the options up by going to System Preferences(search it in spotlight in the upper right hand corner) and then go to "Keyboard & Mouse" and you can choose all settings there. I personally like the two finger right click in which you lace two finders on the trackpad and perform a click in order to perform a right click.

My wife will be the only one of them to use the trackpad and even then only when she takes it away from the desk. Me, I've gotten hooked on the trackpad. Now that I got a chance to play with a MB I ordered a MBP for myself. Hopefully my tax refund check will cover my recent purchases.
