This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Quicktime update - Does it get rid of the old version?

    I downloaded the update and it was like 50 megs or so. Does it uninstall or delete the old version of quicktime or does it just gobble up hard drive space like windows?

    it should simply overwrite, or update the code.

    Awesome. On my windows machine every time there is an update my hard drive space gets smaller. Formating and reinstalling windows and getting the newest patches right away results in less HD space and less fragmentation of the drive.
