    Quite and simple Q?

    How do u do a force quite on osx? You know like control alt delete on windows.

    Command + Option + Esc.

    And of course, you can right click on an application in the Dock if it doesn't respond, and you can Force Quit it from there. And you can also access Force Quit from the Apple icon on the Menu Bar if you don't remember the keyboard shortcut.

    If OS X doesn't recognize the application as frozen you'll have to hold down option when you right click the icon on the dock. The other methods don't require this however.

    Alternative Method #587, open Activity Monitor (Applications --> Utilities) locate the Application and click the red stop sign button that reads "Quit Process".
