kinda scary, but hopefully just a random defective plug. I'm sure we'll hear a lot more if it's a design issue.

this has been posted before. my opinoin is that is isn't a design flaw, but some effect, such as maybe some conductor caught in the port and shorting the powerlines. or as sugessted in those links, a cat peeing on the connector.
I don't believe it to be a reason to not get a macbook. -
this was most likely caused by a short of some kind. -
I did find that area hotter than most other parts of the laptop except for the bottom area near the HD and the CPU/GPU areas.
