I'm looking for a case/sleeve for my newly purchased MBA 13" and came across the booq MBA case/sleeve product. I was curious if anyone uses it or has played with it. I like that it has room for the MBA and its charger cord as well as other slots for small things. One thing that does bug me is the potential of damaging the MBA when closing and zipping the case.

If you use any other case/sleeve let me know what you'd recommend.

    Thanks!

I'm actually thinking of getting the Speck case. After some research some people said they have problem with the screen hinges not able to hold the screen correctly after some use due to the added weight of the case. Have you had any problem?

I use this model sleeve for my MBA, except in the smaller size that fits my 11.6".

I find it alright, but a little awkward to open and close, as you have to stretch the flap more than you think you should. Otherwise it works just fine.

I also use the Toscano Elements with a zipper enclosure. It works well enough too, but I don't think they have one that fits the 13" MBA snug yet.

I will be probably buying one of the Booq sleeves as soon as a seller has them on ebay. Booq direct wants too much $$, and they don't have them in stock either.

I was looking at the Neoprene sleeve in the Apple store and saw a few Youtube videos about it. I'm not a fan due to the opening/closing of the sleeve. It shouldn't take as much effort as it does with that sleeve.

Looking for a good sleeve/case is tougher than I thought. :/

I ended up popping for the Booq Viper Hardcase 13 supposedly made specifically for the MBA 13". Lets see how it goes...

Will do. It was a bit annoying that I couldn't find any reviews online that weren't a marketing opportunity.

I received the booq case today that is made for the 13" MacBook Air and it's an ok product.

    - The build is decent, but its a really tight fit putting in and pulling out the MBA. I don't think it'd be usable if a Speck cover is used with it, but my Speck satin cover is coming in tomorrow and I can check it then.
    - It's suppose to have enough room for various other items such as the power adapter which it does, but when you close the case it puts pressure on the MBA. I even put a 100 sheet notebook into the case and it still seems like a very tight fit. From my usage it seems like anything thicker than 1/2 the thickness of the 45w power adapter is too big without causing a bulge in the case when closed.
    - They could have done better with the fabric selection on the the sleeve where the MBA sits in. The usage of a more elastic type of fabric and/or a elastic band to hold the MBA would have been easier for inserting and removing of the MBA.
    - It's marketed as a "hard case" but I'm guessing thats relative to what your comparing it to. It's flexing ability when grasped by two hands is a bit more than that of a 3 ring binder.

If they had made it just a 3/4-1" thicker it would have made my day cause I could put the power adapter in it with no problem, but I really dont' want to carry around the adapter in hand or even in the case where it puts pressure on the MBA.

With such, I've already gotten my return authorization and will keep my look out for a more suitable case.

I find it rather irksome that these case manufacturers are making custom cases to hold your computer AND "daily essentials". Yet no reasonable provision is made for something so rudimentary and ubiquitous as the AC adapter.

I completely agree. Not even the one I saw at the Apple store that suppose to have a opening for the AC adapter was up to par. I think I'm settled on the messenger back I recently received and the Speck black satin cover that is coming in the mail tomorrow. I'll have plenty of room to safely carry everything I need.
