I am planning on buying a MB Air with 80GB HDD.
If I find out that I am dissappointed with the speed of the HDD, will it be possible in the future to replace the HDD with an SSD myself?
I am quite handy with this kind of stuff. I just don't know how easy it is to open the Air, and how accesible the harddrive is. Also I don't know much about the size limitations.

It is possible, but it is very difficult. Also, the HD on the MBA is connected via 40-pin ZIF PATA interface, not the standard SATA on most notebooks.

Wow. And I thought replacing the drive on the MBP required some work...
phew... if I took the air apart, I'd probably never get it back together right. Then again, I'll never own one either... -
