    Hey guys,

Hope someone can shed some light on this matter for me.

TOday, I reset my PRAM first and then tried to reset SMC. WHen doing the latter I accidentally forgot to connect the magsafe adapter and when the computer started up the fans were pretty much running high.Another thing I noticed was that the LED indicator on the mag safe was not illuminating. SO I shut down the computer ASAP. Left the computer on its own for awhile and reconnected my charger to attempt it one more time.

THis time I believe the smc was reset properly since the LED on the magsafe reappeared and changed colours on reboot and the fans weren't roaring as it had done initially.

My question to you is, I was nearly half dead when I heard the fans roar at that high speed and am wondering if by any chance I would have done any significant damage to my machine? AM i required to run any hardware diagnostics?

ALso, can someone please explain to me as to why the fans were roaring at high sped when the reset the smc without the mag safe adapter?

if anyone can clarify these issues for me it will be of great help to me.

    Thanks in advance.
