If I'm watching a 720p video on a MacBook retina or MacBook air, at full screen, does the higher resolution of retina screen cause the image to appear worse, blured?

I'm sure this has been asked before I just can't find it.

not really, but it can vary depending on your player application, to my knowledge many video players quad up the pixels so my rMBP 15" essentially plays video files essentially as 1440 x 900 but some players will do a very good job of interpolating it as 1080. I cant seem to get 4K video files to scale that well yet for playback.
