Just wondering whether those that use Windows on their Mac spend most of their time in OSX, Windows, 50:50 etc...

Personally I haven't installed Windows on my Mac yet, but am thinking about it.....

I've seen two mac notebooks recently, both with no working osx installation, only windows :) they prefer it as they know it.. :)

if i'd get a mac book, i'd only use windows on it as well, have no use for anything the osx gives me.

    i guess it's mostly a habbit thing.

I didn't know that you COULD "just" install Windows on a Mac, I thought dual booting was the only option?

Is it really possible to just wipe the hard drive clean and just install windows, so that when you turn on the mac it loads windows automatically?

its possible... but you don't have to have Windows by itself for it to load Windows automatically when you turn it on.

I only installed and use Windows because some on-line courses I'm taking don't support OS X with their software...if it weren't for that, I would now be using 100% OS X (after using DOS/Windows from 1986 to Oct 2008).

Can someone please point me in the direction of a tutorial that would allow me to just install Windows on my Macbook pro? I'm very curious how it's done...

What's the point? I'd at least leave a little partition on there for OSX since it is a Mac. You can ignore it like 99% of the time like I do my Windows one.

I agree. Probably easier to just minimize the OSX partition with Bootcamp and install Windows, then set the Bootcamp partition as the default boot partition.... wha-la, Windows on a Mac. Of course, you give up the 30 GB or whatever that OSX keeps as the minimum barebones install, but such is the price of ease.

I thought I was going to use MS much more, but after exclusively using OSX since the Fall on my first Apple notebook I'm not finding much use for W7 on my MB over the past month..... I never would have believed it if you'd said that to me 6 months ago.
