What exactly is wrong with 10.8.3?

For me personally, there is a graphics issue that I cant be rid of and its making my computer run slow even after clean install so i reverted back to 10.8.2

I checked around the web and on Apple's website. Normally Safari is available for individual download. For 6.0.3 it's only offered with 10.8.3. If you're having graphical issues with your Macbook under 10.8.3 you should take it to your local Apple store or authorized repair center and have it fixed under warranty if you still have warranty left. Also it may not be a defect, it could be a piece of software or a faulty driver in your current software that isn't working with 10.8.3. The best way to test this is to create a partition on your drive and install 10.8.3 only, no additional software. See how it reacts to your Mac. If no graphical issues then it has to do with software that you have installed.

When you say you did a "clean install" do you meant that you've fully erased the hard drive and installed only 10.8.3? People tend to call a reinstall with their archived software a clean install and it's not. If you did a true empty hard drive installation of 10.8.3 with no additional software and you're having graphical glitches then you need to have Apple look at your machine. I don't experience any slow downs or graphical issues with 10.8.3.

Thank you for your informative reply. Basically i have a 2010 17 inch macbook pro running nvidia 330m. The issue with 10.8.3 is that it essentially doesnt utilise automatic graphics switching feature and it always tends to run on dedicated graphics no matter what. I initally assumed it was related to a certain app but after the official statements from dropbox and fantastical it seems that its actually to do with 10.8.3. I thought it was just my computer having this issue but after doing some research on the macrumors forum it seems that most machines from 2010 have this exact issue. I actually do not prefer this coz it drains my batter quickly and runs at a high resting temperature. I tried using gfxcardstatus but it turned out to be a bit cumbersome with 10.8.3. Hence why, I want to stick to 10.8.2 since i've had no issues at all with this version of the OS. hence why i was wondering if it would be possible to just upgrade safari on its own
