For some reason, I can't stay signed in on this forum. If I log in, close the window and come back I have to log in again. Opera doesn't do this. And it doesn't happen on other websites. Also it doesn't give me the option to save my password whenever I type it into the log in box. =S This is weird.

Does anyone else have this problem or is there a setting I can change to fix it?

You mean to say the "stay logged in" checkbox isn't checked by default in Safari and you can't check it? We have it set so it's checked by default.

Check to see if your cookies are preserved, and your browser history isn't deleted, when you close out of your browser.

I don't know about the cookies thing but its not the remember me box. That is already checked. The problem is that it doesn't remember me. It does on other sites though.

    Simple fix!

Use FF :) some people say OmniWeb is good too..
But yeah, Safari... not so good. Makes me think of IE on windows.

Even though I am using firefox on a daily basis, I have no problem keeping myself logged here with Safari. Must be some config of yours... try resetting, empty cache and cookies...

It's not restricted to Safari either, it does the same thing in Omniweb. Its incredibly annoying and most times I don't wanna log in at all because it keeps logging me out. No other forum sites do this, only this site. quite frankly it ticks me off sometimes. It has nothing to do with cookie settings that I have or the 'remember me' thing, its not webkit or webkit tweaked browser friendly site.

I know this forum tweaks it's code, for the vbulletin software, its possible it's one of them.

using my cookie manager in Omniweb, I have found about 4 rejected cookies that my browser refuses to accept, these ones are mainly third party cookies that I have set my browser not to take. Most of the other cookies have the green icon (good) and others have (yellow) temp, even know I choose remember me.

It could either be webkit or the site, but its nice to see the problem isn't only me. Oh yes, Safari does the same thing. But like I said other forums that I visit which also uses vBulletin like NBR does, do not log me out, so I'm thinking its more of a site issue.

Login without the www. in the domain name Vbullitean has a error that if www. is in the domain it will keep loging you out.

Uh, I think most people login when the forum is showing and when it is, it shows forum.notebookreview.com there isn't any www in it anyways.

I have 5 browsers on my Mac atm (don't ask why) Safari, Firefox, Camino, Opera and the most recent Omniweb. Omniweb is quite good apart from not being able to display Windows Live Mail and some Rich Text Editors. As xbandaidx said, the same problem I'm having with Safari happens with OmniWeb. It may be just some coding in the browsers.
