Can anyone direct me to articals that will help me set up a MacBook for a new user but is a year old and used by another previously? I'd like to uninstall the Office version on it and install a newer version as well.

I'm a new MAC user. Thanks!

I don't know there's any setup you need to do. Was there something in particular you wanted to know? There's lots of good stuff in the Switcher Guide. To delete anything in Mac just drag it to the trash bin. It won't leave stuff behind like a PC does.

Has the old users account already been deleted? If you have concerns about it, and you have the OS install disc (I'm assuming you're using Leopard) you can do an erase and install to bring the machine back to factory spec, run your updates, install your needed software, and then set up the user account. Are you going to be joining it to a Windows domain?

If it is possible, I second diggy's suggestion.

Oh, and it's Mac not MAC.
