The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Severe creaking when opening screen MBP 13"

    Like 3 months ago, every time I opened or closed the lid on my computer, there would be a creaking sound coming from the hinge. I ignored it and it has gotten really loud: in classes people look at me when I close it cause it makes tons of noise. I don't know what it can be or what to do. I opened the case but it seems to be just the hinge, nothing involving the case. :confused:

    Any suggestions? Anyone have this same problem?
