Ok, So I just bought a macbook! Yah, but I've already hit a snag... a notebook is only good if it contains my music library! so seeing as I have everything on my PC and I already have the network folders set up... I tried ot copy my music (3.71GB) onto my mac, but my mac can only see 945MB of it and that's all it will copy. it can see and copy my video's folder(195GB). but only a fraction of the music! what's wrong!
any help? PS. this si the first time I've used a mac in over 10years.

is it missing certain files? certain folders?
I've never looked across the network and only saw part of a set of files... is it not scrolling right? have you tried multiple views? -
It appears to be fairly random... some (copied) folders that I have contain music some don't... all the folders copied but a lot of them are empty. all the files that were in the "music" folder (the main folder) seem to be there, but once we get into subfolders it doesn't seem to want to work... well some did... some didn't. I just checked hte "get info" option and it's only reading 945MB and 312 files... there should be 1400 files and 3.71GB.
any ideas? Thanks so much.
Edit: this network share works. I tested with Vista machines, xp, Ubuntu Linux... -
anyone? hmmm...

You can always stream music if you have itunes on your windows machine. The bonjour service does this, and it finds itunes libraries on your networks instantly without settings.

I can, but not when i'm at school. or when I don't have network access.
still looking for a solution, I may just give apple a call.
