Why would anyone get excited for snow leopard when the "speed" and "space" can be had with snow leopard. In some reviews I found the space freed up is almost equal to that of snow leopard. Makes me seem like what we may have here is a waste.

Give me another reason to want to switch to Snow Leopard because I just purchased Xslimmer for $13.

Something us everyday users can be excited about because the only thing I really cared for was speed and HD space.

Sorry for spelling snow leopard wrong...flame away

    yeah....

Anyways it still does not fix bugs or change the UI tweaks they are doing with snow leopard. xslimmer just deletes some stuff, that's not all snow leopard is doing.

Go do some research on snowleopard then tell me if Xslimmer does the same.

Main thing that xslimmer does to free up space is delete language files, witch you can do your self for free in seconds.

All in all Xslimmer is NOT snowleopard and does nothing like snowleopard will do.

I think I'll notice the speed increase quite a bit. Right now, only a few applications use all 8 processor cores on my Mac Pro. I'm hoping that after the update, everything will spread to multiple cores and be far more efficient. I may have to upgrade my ram a bit though... I'm not sure if 6GB will cut it anymore :D

Who cares about the space savings of Snow Leopard. Large hard drives are very affordable and the OS takes but a fraction of the space. I care much more about the performance improvements that Snow Leopard will bring.

No kidding. 1TB drives are $100 now. I couldn't care much about 1GB of wasted space.
