Hello every1 I would like someone confirm those question:
Macbook and Macbook pro both have Anti-Shock Protection right? the locks hard drive system to prevent lose data thing...
I heard someone said Macbook can upgrade hard drive and wont void the warranty, and Macbook pro isnt..? Does the new hard drive ought to purchase from Apple?
boot camp and parallel can emulate windows fully? any differences running game?
I dont want to make false statement when I am on the floor... thank you

The Macbook pro has it. The earlier Powerbooks as well.
Boot camp is like running windows on any other pc. So gaming works quite well. You need to reboot to acess windows.
Parallells uses virtualization, and as long as you have enough memory you can run windows comfortably. You can't game though, since it doesn't have access to the GPU (as of now). You run it on top of os x. -
Both the MacBook and MacBook Pro (other models too) have a Sudden Motion Sensor that protects against data loss.
And you do not need to purchase a Hard Drive from Apple to upgrade the MacBook. -
Oh right, the macbook does have it. Of the older models, the ones that had it was late Powerbook and iBook G4's. Sorry, got some stuff mixed up in my head.

Yes, both the MacBook and MBP have the Sudden Motion Sensor. And with a MacBook, you can upgrade the hard drive and RAM by yourself; with the MBP, you can only upgrade the RAM. So yes, upgrading the hard drive in a MacBook will not void the warranty.
Boot Camp runs Windows natively. You will get the best gaming experience using Boot Camp to run Windows instead of virtualization.
Parallels and VMware Fusion run Windows virtually. They have the ability to run graphic applications, games being one of them, but considering the high amount of resources required to run Parallels and VMware Fusion, you will not get as great of a gaming experience. So I recommend you game using Boot Camp to run Windows natively. -
okay thanks. I am also thinking keep my 2GB PC2-5300 667MHz thinkpad ram. and order a 2 GB macbook pro. Thus, i will sell my thinkpad 2GB (1 apple ram and 1 original) and macbook pro will have 3 GB (2GB from thinkpad and 1 from apple)
what do you guys think? -
Do that. It'll work in the MBP and more ram is always good.

Sure, you won't be running dual channel (because non matched RAM) I don't think it matters much, though. If the machine displays ANY instability then rip out the other RAM. Also, make sure they are both either with lead, or not with lead, should be a sticker with a no sign around PB.
Mixed PB and Non-PB RAM tends to be a bit funky.
The reason for hard drive switching voiding the warranty on MBP is just because it's hard to get to, you have to rip the machine apart pretty much. Only hardware issue that I've seen that bugs me a bit. On most PC notebooks you only have to remove 2-3 screws on the bottom and pull the HD out. Really nice for maintenance. Sometimes apple goes a tad overboard with their pretty designs, but at least it DOES look nice -
