A 24 inch IMac for just $1999 with Core 2 Duo and Nvidia Graphics! Awesome...

Merom in the IMac is a pretty good indication that it will be in the laptops very soon. The Nvidia graphics move is probably due to the takeover of ATI by AMD, though they're still using the x1600 in the other models.

    What do you all think?

Wow.... there were rumors of a 23" iMac, 24" is even more interesting.

It's great that now the cheapest option is $999.

Yeah, although that model does seem to be a fair bit stripped down (no bluetooth or remote, intel integrated graphics, etc.).

Hoping this means we'll see the MBP with Merom released soon.

That is actually a little dissapointing. I was really hoping for a mid-range tower and I think this kills any hope of that. It is nice to see the 17" get dropped to $999.

I don't think that the updates and expansion of the iMac line really changes things all that much one way or the other in regards to the possibility of Apple ever doing some sort of mid-range tower (something between the Mac mini and the Mac Pro).

I just mean, I think the likelihood of Apple creating another Mac along these lines isn't really changed much by what happens with the iMac line.

Looks like they upped the Mini's slightly too.

I just had to post this comment I found, This really shows how Apple is towards their customers.

Now I don't know if I want the 24" iMac or the Mac Pro next summer! Ugh *cries*
