I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the sportfolio deluxe case by marware. I am considering it for my new macbook pro. Thanks.

I have the Marware Sportfolio Deluxe for my 17" MBP (early 2008 one) and it's really good. I haven't had many laptop bags, but this one is my favourite so far. I travel a fair bit and find the bag suits my needs perfectly.

It's durable, lets me carry other bits-and-bobs (mouse, books, ipod etc) and hasn't shown any signs of failing on me. I don't know about Amazon US but in UK they're doing some nice discounts for it at the moment. I highly recommend it.

Google it and you'll find a fair few reviews. Here's one to start you off: http://reviews.techcastnetwork.co.uk/2007/01/20/marware-sportfolio-deluxe/

    Hope that helps!

Are there any other messenger type bags that people prefer. I would like one that zippers however, not one that just has a flap over the top?

My old Port bag is now too small to handle my 15.4 MBP. I'm considering the T-Tumi messenger bags but have yet to see one in person. Like you, I'll need a solid bag for my MBP but I don't want it to scream that I am carrying a laptop and since I'm 49 yrs old, I really need it to have that taste of professionalism that my job requires. ;)
