So i can't even start the game, I mean it keeps on giving me an error about an authentication module that it is unable to download and then goes on to tell me to try again later. Well later has been 2 weeks, what now?![]()

No one else is getting or has been getting this error? I've been trying from multiple internet locations so I know it's not that.
-
Did you buy the game online or you have a DVD?
-
DVD, but you know it doesn't really matter because the game runs off your hard-drive after install. And I did reinstall the game like 5 times, with no improvement.
And yes I'm not exactly a Noobie on this, I mean I googled it and the answers or results are not available as well, as no one has a result or an answer. The only direct answer I found was "Try 20 times, it'll work after that"
I mean that's pretty retarded.... and NOT a fix or at least a true fix. -
Did you log in with battle.net and registered your copy with the CD-Key provided in the DVD box?
-
Yes, I mean I own a PC as well and not just this Macbook Pro, and the game works on those machines but not this one. And my account is fine, I just sent an email to them and got a response with a list of things to try so I'll try it out and then post back my findings which may or may not be any good. My i7 is looking pretty worthless at this point on this MAC, worthless in terms of not-needed for what I do thus far.
-
Worthless? You mean you only bought your Macbook to play Starcraft on it?. OKAY. Pretty expensive machine just for that.
-
I say worthless because, to my knowledge the i7 is bringing an incredible amount of heat after 2 hours of usage, if not a little longer. I'm talking hot enough where I Could flip the system, crack an egg and then serve it sunny side up 15 mins later. IT is literally burning my pants off when on my lap, I don't know how a girl who is wearing a skirt or short dress could possible leave this on her lap. I'm questioning my own means or usage to justify even having the i7 (Which is not even Quad Core BTW). However at the time I thought to myself that it's hard to upgrade a Macbook and they don't necessarily go through radical changes so why not spend the extra few hundred and get an i7 over an i5. But as it stands this moment, there is absolutely no reason for me to have an i7 and I would never recommend to any of my friends to get an i7. People talk abot video encoding, but I never do that as I'm purely just a programmer, and really nothing more. Yea I run a few image editing utilities but nothing that makes it absolutely apparent that I indeed needed this i7.

I have i7. I play SCII. I am not having a heat issue any different from say...watching a flash video.
sorry you're having such problems. turn up your fan. -
I got it to work, I had to remove some folders from the user shared section, blizzard folders
-
please remove the following files:
* SC2-WingsOfLiberty-enUS-Installer folder
* Blizzard folder in Mac HD/Users/Shared
* Remove com.blizzard.downloader.plist & com.blizzard.downloader.prefs from Mac HD/Users/(Your User Name)/Library/Preferences.
* All StarCraft 2 Beta folders and files.
Re-boot and re-download the Mac client downloader.
