I don't know what's happening, my mac can't enter the os either win7 or 10.6 sl

It always shutdown at the booting process and I don't know why...

I even tried external boot disk and using another HDD

Strangely, at boot selection, it can remain open and not shutdown but the fans go to max speed and the computer is very hot, this happens at either external hdd or internal

And what's more if there's no HDD the machinecan stay open and not have an heat issue

Anybody know how to fix this?

    Help appreciated

Sounds like an overheating problem to me...Likely the cpu heatsink has come detached or perhaps their is an air pocket between it and the cpu or gpu.

The system is shutting itself off to prevent meltdown.

I'd open it up, remove the heatsinks, and clean off the cpou and heatsink then apply some thermal paste
