I have been a lifetime Windows user and I bought a MBP a few months ago but did not commit until my Windows hdd crashed, so I figure now is the time to completely switch. I have Office 2011 for Mac installed but I need help configuring it. I have close to 100 Notes from Windows Office 2010 that I need to import but I cannot figure out how. I would also like to make Mac Office 2011 my default app for mail, and contacts and have iTunes recognize that. Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

This probably not the full answer you want but, I am in same position - but even worse I use hotmail & MAC or Outlook 2011 for MAC does not support it!

The Mac Outlook 2011 seems a cut down version and many less features than the Win Outlook 2012 & and Office suite.

However, to change MAIL deliver - Open MAC MAIL & in OPTIONS, its says 'default delivery app' - use the drop down to select 'Outlook'

I have not figured out how to access Outlook Notes -

I also tried MAC Outlook & reverted to MAC Mail which includes a 'Notes' App thats sychs with iPhone, so I opted for this as a solution.

(Ps, I like the overall MAC user experience but its limitiations are a problem - so I keep my Windows laptop for the real work)

    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    t

There has to be a way to import Notes, and have iTunes sync this!

EDIT: I stand corrected. Either in SP1 or SP2 (just released) they added import PST.

If you want to migrate your Outlook 2010 notes, export them in a PST file and import the PST in 2011.

Unless you're speaking of OneNote - there is no Mac alternative in the Microsoft Office Suite for OneNote.

Also I don't believe iTunes will sync Outlook 2011 notes to an iOS device. Mine just shows the Apple notes sync with no option for Outlook 2011.

Oh man I just manually copied all of my notes from Mail.app lol - if you have Outlook set as default I wonder if Outlook notes will be synced as well?
