Okay so I spent tons of money on Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium last year for windows...

However I'm 99% sure I'm converting to Mac...does anyone know if its possible to get Adobe to deactivate my product and give me a Mac key...

    Thanks

Knowing Adobe, they'll just invite you to purchase another copy entirely.

I think i read before that adobe will allow you to transfer your windows license to osx.

This may have been a while ago, but i'm pretty sure at one point you could.

Though i'd say contact adobe, like talin said.

I believe Adobe allows you to transfer the license, but it's a bit of a convoluted procedure.

However, while trying to look it up, I got a chuckle out of this:

Either way, I'm skipping CS3 and waiting for CS4.

Adobe cheerfully accepted my Windows CS2 key numbers going to Dreamweaver CS3. I have not tried Photoshop yet because Gimp is serving me so well. I called Adobe about this before purchasing and they told me at the time (early spring 2008), that the upgrade would work as long as you had a valid cd key for your older adobe software regardless of whether it was Windows or Mac. When I tried it, it worked just fine. I never bothered to go back into my old Windows copies and "de-authorize" them either. I think I paid about $150 for the upgrade.

Well thanks for you help guys!

I called Adobe and its very possible, however my version of CS3 Design Premium isn't the new one which has Acrobat 9 and Fireworks included. Therefore I would have to pay 149.99 I think for the upgrade.

If i did have the updated version, I would have paid 10 dollar shipping, and they would cancel my Windows serial, and sent me a Mac version...

So I guess let this be another point for those with Win-Mac switchers....

Adobe platform switch is possible, you just have to pay shipping.

They probably have a cross-grade pricing option. Or you could just pirate it (not that I would do that or anything...just saying...if Adobe doesn't give you a decent deal you will be in a conundrum...)

It's just an announcement. I highly doubt that the software will actually be released on Sept. 23.

Though when it does come out, I'm in for a copy.
