Hiya guy's I been browsing and checking out all the mac forums and asking mac questions all over the place. I decided I am going to just ask it all at once here and hope some one responds to all my questions and tells me how its done if its possible.

#1 Can you watch PUBLIC (Basic Antenna TV) on a Imac? (I do not have cable TV (500 channels nothing good's ever on -.-)

#2 Can I record Videos from (public TV) on the imac?

#3 Is there a special attachment that I need in order to plug in my ps2/gamecube and wii to my Imac to make it basically my home TV 100%? It does not come with AV ports.

#4 Can I do all this using the mac OS or do I need to change to Vista (please for the love of god don't tell me I need Vista I have it on this laptop and hate it to no end >.<)

#5 is doing all this going to cost me over 300 dollars in extra stuff (if possible to do any of it)

#6 Is it true that mac has less viruses than PC out for it or is this just a online myth?

I would like some good responses to these questions because I really want to get the 24inch Imac to be my new home entertainment system all in one but If it cant do any of the public TV stuff than I might as well just get the 400 dollar cheaper 20 inch screen. Thanks!

I will answer number 6: yes, OS X has no virus in the wild targeting it right now. So as of now, there is no need for antivirus on OS X; antivirus on OS X would probably cause more problems than it solves.

Until OS X gets even more mainstream, there is no need for antivirus on OS X.

I'm not sure, but after all these years, somebody ought to produce one USB tv tuner for the Mac. Look around.

With regard to public tv, ie broadcast channels, I had a WinTv card + program, and it came with a very short wire that would act as the antenna, but I never tried that because I had cable.

If you want to watch programs on cbs, abc, nbc, and so on, you can watch full episodes of a certain programs on their website. No need to record anything. But if you have a specific needs, then by all means check the internet.

Well if you use bootcamp you can get a usb tv tuner and watch tv via antenna and plug in games if it has composite input. I know you can do it in xp cause ive done it with my mbp.
