Didn't know where to put this so put it up here.
This is the classroom I want to be in forever and ever and ever ...

What is this, the Apple Laptop Fan Club?
-
woah.. and theres people at the other end of the world who struggle to buy chalk...
-
I counted at least 6 people without an Apple (including people without a notebook); it's like "Where's Waldo?" when you start looking towards the back of the room
.
-
-
Yeah I saw that on digg the other day. Pretty funny. I think it was called look at them apples! or something like that.
-
Yeah, we saw this on another thread...can't remember where. Anyways, that's pretty amazing
.
BC135, what if all those Macs were running Linux? -
thnksfrthmmrs Notebook Evangelist
Why all the Macbook Pros?
-
Hehe, its mostly black MacBooks and MacBook Pros...but in reality the white MacBooks are the best selling Macs right now.
-
I don't care who you are, that's funny right there...
... and I don't know why I just busted into Larry the Cable Guy? -
This must be some introduction level class on how to use OS X. Why else would everyone be on a mac?
-
-
I really don't think this is ps'd, There's a lot of little details that would take an extraordinary amount of time and effort to pull off.
My guess would be that it was a class or lecture about apple, or OS X. -
I know what course it is, its the one I recommend all switchers take:
Switch 101, of course! -
It's definitely an orientation class of some kind. When else would you see such a high % of people actually wearing the school t-shirts?
-
Is that computer science 100? or 099 perhaps?
I'm sure by the time they reach 400 level courses, the only remaining people would be the few that are not using the macbook or mbp
Just kidding -
-
-
this picture is not from Princeton is it? Reminds me of a thread on macrumors
...I am jealous!...those geeks! -
Ahh yes, this was up on Digg a couple weeks ago. Theres actually another picture of the right hand side of the room which ofcourse is also filled with Macs
Anyways, I counted 15 PC users, anyone else care to guess?
-
I think a few of the people you circled are mac users... it's just the angle that makes it appear that the computer is not.
-
Most are probably university issued don't you think?
-
Well Mizzou's tech site doesn't offer any information about providing MBP and MBs to students that I could find from a cursory scan.
Their bookstore even offers the Dell university discount - although there does seem to be a particularly heavy Apple emphasis there (it's filled with all sorts of Apple peripherals and accessories). -
i also like that on the bottom right of the pic is a tiger skin style bag.
-
Looks like an Apple training seminar or something.
-
-
-
I ran into an almost identical scene at UC Berkeley today. Everyone had either a Macbook or a MBP, a few even had Ti Powerbooks!
-
I am thinking this is some sort of design class where you are made to use macs?
-
Of course, this is not an accurate representation
, but it really is quite amazing how many students/younger adults are using Macs nowadays.
Which reminds me...every day on my way to school, I pass two cafes: one cafe is full of people with their MacBooks and MacBook Pros, and the cafe is bright and clean, and then there's another cafe where everyone uses Dell or Toshiba. It really is quite interesting to see
.
-
Ah well, one of the perks of being the largest chain cafe in the world I guess. -
Neither of the cafes are Starbucks, they're just local family-run cafes. Both with WiFi access, and Mac users in one cafe, everyone else in the other.
-
-
.
-
Do you see these cafes on Commercial Drive, Sam? We both live in Vancouver, so I was wondering where these cafes are...
(btw, my name is also Sam... a coincidence, no?) -
p)! They're on Commercial Drive between Broadway and 1st Avenue...there's one cafe that's full of Mac users (don't remember the name of that cafe), and the other one is Waves Coffee, which is full of "other PC" users
.
The best classroom ever :)
