No, there's no real doom, but the prospect should be appealing.
Anyway, here's my current setup, though the MacBook Air will leave me in about 6 weeks *sniff*.

MacBook Air 1.6/80GB
MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz
Apple 23" Cinema Display
mRain MacBook Pro stand
Logitech THX-something speakers
Apple BT keyboard
Logitech VX Nano
Western Digital 750GB Studio MyBook connected by FW800

Wow someone is loaded!
-
That is a nice setup
-
I have to say, I wish the MacBook Air was mine... Really the only thing expensive other than my MBP is the Apple display. Doesn't really make me loaded.
-
you shows great taste though WilliamG
love the way the glass table goes with your alumunium/silver coloured equipment. -

Really nice setup. As already mentioned, you've got great style. Why can't you keep your MBA?
-
It's for my father when I visit my folks in London next month.
He's gonna love it!

That's a great gift, I wish I could get one for my dad. BTW, when you buy someone a gift, don't you keep it sealed until you give it to them instead of playing around with it
? I'd probably play around with it, too though
. lol

I'm pretty sure you'll need to buy the international $20-$40 AC adapter from Apple to get it to charge optimally in the UK.
-
Please? -
Man, I feel poor. But don't worry, I'll do my best in competing with you later this calendar year after I graduate! Muwahahah etc.
-
wow william, nice! I feel so ashamed to post mine now... hahah...
-
-
Mines is pretty crappy but it gets the job done
The guitar on my bed is worth more then both my laptops combined -
I'm on visit from Niecy away from being able to post my pics
Basically it's a Macbook on a roll top desk with enough clutter to prevent closing the roll top. I've been thinking about adding a larger display but I still want to be able to close the roll top (someday perhaps).
-
-
War-crimes, ahhh!! Your little desk reminds me of when I was young.... and I fit under such desks.
I'm 6'5" now, so that's tricky!
-
here is my setup.......nothing special though
-
love the identical backgrounds on each
-
You guys are rich, I only have the macbook pro+500G WD external hard drive. That is all. Plus I have the IBM thinkpad T40 (it's old but reliable)
-
Here's mine; I just finished putting a new desk together, and havent really got everything situated the way I want. And the room is still trashed, because I got lazy and didnt feel like finishing with my "clean up"
-
Kaushal, is the screen on your Vaio really that much brighter than the Macbook's, or is that just a trick of the camera?
-
^^Bummer for you the Tar Heels just lost.
-
-
will take a fresh pic....to show how much superior mac screen is -
a little messy...which is normal....and yes, thats the same desk as diggy... -
Got some Invisible Shield action going on there ageezee? Looks like a cozy place to work.
-
Invisible shield?? no....the only thing i have any kind of protection on is the marware on my macbook.
-
Maybe it's just the light angle then. Just looked shieldy to me.

Wow you guys
. Fancy setups!
Mine is pretty boring:
2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo (November 2006 edition) Apple MacBook
Some basic Logitech mouse
Crappy Acer speakers (came with the desktop my dad bought)
8 GB iPod Touch
iPod Dock
How I got them:
MacBook: won as a prize from Apple
Logitech mouse: old spare mouse
Acer speakers: explained above
iPod Dock: borrowed from friend
So the only thing in my setup that I personally bought was the 8 GB iPod Touch, at $250 in Hong Kong.
What would be nice to add to my setup:
22-inch Dell SP2208WFP display
Logitech VX Revolution
Mac OS X Leopard
But I can't afford them.

Awww Sam. I think you win The Most Adorable Setup prize.

-a 250GB I/O Magic Gigabank.
-Mighty Mouse - my friend bought it for me before I got my Inutos.
-a black Macbooky. YES, it's sitting on a cookie tray! Stop asking me!
-a HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One (not in the photo)
-a 6GB pink iPod mini (not in photo) -
and at work....yes, I use windows for work.
(sorry about the low quality pic, it was taken with my iphone.) -
