    You're on vacation? Ouch.

Someone broke into my house and stole my Asus G53JW (1 month old), 25 games, 2 USB drives and a few more things, so I feel your pain.

Do you have car insurance of any sort either personal or with the car rental agency?

    "They"?
Call the cops. Notify your auto insurance company or rental company.

Car insurance will likely not cover it as it is not permanently attached to the vehicle, although be sure to check the terms of the insurance agreement.

However, homeowner's insurance may cover your loss.

It may well be covered on your house insurance. Did you habe 'Back to my Mac' turned on? People have tracked down their missing Macs using that previously.

Sorry to hear about the theft though.

What is back to my MAC?

Yes I have backed up all my data.
I have learnt my lesson from two portable harddrive failures.
I lost data I saved on 2 portable harddrives in 2009 . Hence, I no longer save data on portable harddrives.
I save data on CDs or DVDs. I am still able retrieve data from 2001 that were stored on CDs.

Someone from another forum told me about preproject. I do not know if that would work in ;amaica.

That's a horrible situation. Hopefully you get it back or your insurance will have you covered. Best of luck. It sucks to lose anything of valuable especially when its taken.
