    Do you think Apple will put out a newer model before june rolls around? Or any sort of upgrades that are worth waiting for? Also is the illuminated keyboard really worth the couple hundred dollar upgrade?

    There is a $999 Unibody at Microcenter.com right now. Excellent price if you are in the market for one might as well jump on it.

    You should also consider the older MacBook Pro 4.1. It is around the price of the MacBook 2Ghz right now and offers much better bang for the buck.

    You still gotta figure in the Nvidia 8600 as a threat to your computer. I mean, loosing a laptop in college to a repair is devastating. Trust me. :eek:

    Amen to that.....my mobo was fried right before I was due to move back down, had it happened after I was already there.....it gets too horrible to think about :eek:

    I like the style of the new macbooks over the older macbook pro's so I probably wouldnt do that
