This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is NotebookCheck a good review site? I don't visit them much...I actually really like TrustedReviews, a UK site, they have great photos and reviews.

    Yeah I like them. It's a good compliment of other reviews since they go into a lot of technical details that most sites don't look at, like exact temperature readings on different sections of the laptop, etc etc. See for yourself ;)

    In my opinion they are usually very good. They actually measure brightness (370 cd/m²), contrast (487:1), illumination (73%), black levels (Black
    0.76 cd/m²).

    But somehow this review is sub par. They did not even have the real battery life.

    My favorite review site is Notebookjournal.de They measure even more than Notebookcheck, fan noise for example. They also have a consistent way of measuring battery life.
