This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I wasn't aware that you can buy a "family pack" version of the Tiger OS that features 5 *legal* copies of the new OS X 10.4, but you can and it costs $180 at a number of places. So if you have 2 or more Macs in your house, or you can find a few friends that want to get the new OS and split the cost of $180 five ways (about $35 each if there's 5) then you can really score some savings with this.

    Well you can buy the family pack but sharing it with friends would break the licensing conditions of the product, its for a household only not to be shared with friends.
