What do you guys use? I have a copy of SuperDuper!, but now with Leopard Time Machine is built in. The downside to Time Machine is that it is not bootable, and getting it to work with an AirDisk may be tricky. Of course, SuperDuper! does not work with AirDisk either, and you have to actually run the program in order for it to backup.
So those using either or both, what are your opinions?

timemachine is great for a backup solution, but not really as an archive solution, as it is meant to be a backup for what is on the computer.
as a way to archive I still think the best way is to do it manually, so you make sure you know exactly what is going on.
i am not sure if I understand the point of superduper, as all it is doing is making an image of the HDD correct? can't you do that in Disk Utility as well? or maybe I am missing something. -
I prefer Time Machine. My biggest problem with backing up is really that I forgot to do it, or can't be bothered to do it at regular intervals. Since Time Machine takes care of all that silently, it's more useful to me. It also is pretty space-efficient, which is a big plus for me.
True, it's not really meant for archive backups or restoration backups, but I figure if I ever need to do a disk boot, I can use the Leopard CD for that. As long as the data is backed up, I don't mind having to fiddle with the settings manually or even reinstall the OS as necessary. -
Good points. I am also way to lazy and forgetful to do it on my own. Now if I could just find a way to get it to work with an AirDisk.

I use both. I have a 500GB partition and I've allocated 120GB for SuperDuper. The rest is for Time Machine. I like SuperDuper because it'll make an exact mirror image of my harddrive as it is during backup from which I can boot from should anything go wrong.
Time Machine is more so the individual files that I lose or small crashes.
So I think both are good. -
I like how Time Machine has made backup a lot easier (of course, Time Machine's more a backup and not an archive) and understandable for the average user. But as others have noted, SuperDuper! has the ability to boot in should anything go wrong. I personally am going to use both for their tasks.

like I already mentioned, what is the difference between what SuperDuper does, and making a image of a disk using Disk Utility?

What is AirDisk?
