    For those with AirPort Extreme Base Stations, Time Machine now supports USB disks! The new update also fixes the waking from sleep issues that USB disks had before! Finally.

    I just picked up a 500 gig time capsule. I plan to hang another 500 gig off the usb port to use as network storage but it would be nice to have the option to use the external usb for time machine. I would hope the same update that allows airport / airdisk now would allow a usb disk attached to a time capsule.

    this was actually possible since the release wasn't it? if it wasn't I am sure it is possible now, as the update included something for every airport device Apple has available.
